His brother-in-law was a physician and together they tried to sell their invention, but they were unable to find anyone interested because they were so ahead of their time.
They knew that they had created a remarkable invention and kept going, knowing that eventually the market would catch up to the great product that is available to us now.
Thankfully they didn’t wait too long before deciding that what they needed to do was manufacture the strollers on their own. It wasn’t until 1999 that these stylish strollers first hit the streets of Holland. In a short time they were all over the world, even being featured on the popular show Sex & the City. In 2007 they won the Reddot Design Award, which is an international award for the creation of a competitive and new design entering the market.
They now have several different types of strollers all sold under the Bugaboo label. Some of the more popular styles are the Frog, Chameleon, Gecko, and Bee. The product line is small, but it works that way because their products are so great.

The newest of their products is called the Bugaboo Bee. This is a different design from what they have previously done, but it still hold up to the high expectations that people associate with the Bugaboo name. What makes this stroller so great and so different is that it is expandable, which means that it will grow as your baby grows. It will last longer than the average stroller because it will keep up with your baby’s growth.
Plus, the Bugaboo Bee has an adjustable handlebar which means that it can be an easy stroller to push for mom or dad. Not many other strollers can match that with the style and modern look that this stroller has.
